On November 22, 2023, TEI elevated its certification of the "Green Label" to the first international standard in Thailand. Dr. Wijarn Srimachaya, President of the Thai Environment Institute, received the certification according to ISO/IEC 17025:2012 from Mr. Wanchai Panomchai, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry.

This certification is for the environmental label category 1 in Thailand, signifying products and services friendly to the environment at global standards. This year, TEI certified 32 product groups, 811 models, and 119 companies, reinforcing its commitment to international environmental standards.

Mr. Wanchai congratulated TEI, emphasizing the significance of the certification as a testament to TEI's integrity and capability in assessing various organizations. Dr. Wijarn also highlighted TEI's efforts, making it the first in Thailand to be globally recognized for the Green Label, thanks to the support from various industries and standards organizations. The certification reaffirms TEI's potential to meet international standards and instills confidence in future Green Label applicants.
