On December 6, 2023, the Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD) hosted its annual seminar for the year 2023 (TBCSD Annual Event 2023) in celebration of its 30th anniversary. The event took place at the Centara Grand Central Plaza Ladprao, Bangkok, with the primary objective of gaining special insights from Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, regarding the challenges in elevating the standards of Thai business networks towards sustainable development.

The event aimed to propel Thailand towards sustainability, aligning with TBCSD's vision to drive the economy, society, and the environment towards sustainable practices. Attendees also received information about key strategies to transition businesses towards low-carbon and sustainable practices. High-ranking executives from three TBCSD member organizations, namely Mr. Somchai Lertsutiwong, CEO of Advance Info Service Public Company Limited (Technology Group); Dr. Arak Sutivong, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of SCBX Company Limited (Financial Services Group); and Mr. Peerapong Jaroon-ek, Chief Executive Officer of Origin Property Plc (ORI) (Real Estate and Construction Group), shared their perspectives on driving businesses towards low-carbon and sustainable practices.

This event marked the elevation of standards for Thai business organizations to become exemplary low-carbon and sustainable models. Furthermore, an official ceremony was held during the event to formally hand over the TBCSD Board of Directors positions to the new board members. This transition aims to strengthen and stabilize TBCSD's operations for the future. Additionally, in celebration of TBCSD's 30th anniversary, partner organizations and TBCSD member companies jointly declared their significant commitment to lead the Thai business sector in sustainability, adapting to global changes and contributing to the country's development towards a low-carbon and sustainable society.
