TEI-AOT-SGS (Thailand) Conducts Training on PM2.5 Issues and Airport Operations

November 13, 2566, Dr. Wijarn Simachaya, President of the Thai Environmental Institute, and Ms. Wisara Hoonthani, a specialist, were invited by SGS (Thailand) Limited to be guest speakers on the topic of 'PM2.5 Issues and Airport Operations' at the Novotel Chiang Mai Nimman Hotel. Mr. Sarayut Jampa, Deputy Director of Chiang Mai International Airport, welcomed the participants, and Mr. Nitinai Sasakul, Director of Airport Maintenance at Chiang Mai International Airport, engaged in discussions to exchange ideas on how Chiang Mai Airport can address and resolve environmental issues.

The training aimed to highlight the importance of environmental issues on a global scale for various areas, including  PM2.5, climate change, recycling, and the problem of single-use plastic waste, along with its impact on health. Participants gained insights into the challenges, understood their roles and responsibilities, and explored ways to actively contribute to reducing environmental issues in airport operations, ultimately enhancing confidence for future service users.
